Forensic Lab Technician , We are an Internationaly based company that specializes in coating testing for oil and shipbuilding companies that are in civil lawsuits, as well as the testing needed on whatever anyone needs. I started this after 20 years as an auto tech.

I'm still in transition...After those 2 surgeries and now hernias I'm stiff trying to figure out my new job to be...I think its eventually gonna be the woodworking thing...I have alot of tools to learn how to use though.

The pictures of the trailer up there sure brings back memories...I use to do that with my cousin for a job for a couple of years...Not bad money at all.

I would've guessed welder/mechanic or something from all the truck body repair pics

I'm a mechanical designer for the National Solar Observatory and also manage the mechanical department (machine shop, weld shop, anodizing room and paint booth). I've also designed some mechanical aspects of the Advanced Technology Solar Telescope, a $300 million telescope scheduled to start construction next year on Maui. I'm certified with SolidWorks CAD software (really cool program!)

Its looking like I will be going into the woodworking industry sooner than later...I'm just now starting to buy the tools and build a shop to put them in....I know that I'll be making simple stuff at first like rod racks and basic gun racks and some indoor/outdoor shevles...but I will be making other stuff later...Probable a few picnic tables..benches...small tables....ect.

I used to do the woodworking gig on the side a few years back; made some pretty good scratch and had fun too :). Used to build mostly outdoor furniture Adirondack chairs, benches, swings, birdfeeders etc. I rented a booth at a local flea market and sold them there.

Thats kinda the way I think I'm gonna start out...I'm looking into doing some directors type chairs and see how they sell.....Just had an order for 4 more of those rodracks so I will be working at dads shop for a couple of days until I get my stuff organized....If I'm lucky I might sell 1000 of those things this year..

Kinda tough getting started here...Having a problem finding a shed in the right price range...Those things are outrageous....None of my family want to volunteer a hand on building one either....Wish i could find someone in the area to build one up to code for a very reasonable price....Seems like with all the unemployed folks I could find someone.
